My salmon favorelle , Isabella, is losing only her neck feathers. It started about 2 weeks ago and I thought maybe she was molting. She is about 1 ½ years old and hasn't molted yet.
She isn't acting like my other chickens when they molt, her comb is still bright red, I think she may be still laying and she is her normal friendly self. I see a few of her feathers around. She is eating and drinking normally. I have looked at neck closely and don't see evidence of mites.
Anyone else have any suggestions to what this may be. I am thinking she is acting normal and eating well, not to worry??
