Salmon Favorelles?

My standard salmon faverolles pullet, approx. six months old:

The roosters look different. They are one of the varieties of chicken that can be sexed early due to their different appearance.

Here you go, this is a bantam SF pair. My hens laid 10-12 days with out a miss then started all over again. They did got throught a moderate molt but were back the second year with about the same reliability. They are little piggies and will knock you down to get to the treats you bring. You simply can't ask for more manageable chickens. I don't have any now and I don't feel complete until I get more. They are without a doubt then sweetest and in my opinion the most interesting chickens. Roos are beautiful in their own unique way as are the little hens.

Is there a breed thread for Favorelles? I recently got 4 pullets I will post pics as soon as I get them. They seem like very nice birds, not flighty at all. they are running with my mixed flock right now. Maybe if I like them well enough I will get them a rooster.

I have two Favorelle pullets and one of them is absolutely vicious! I've never had a chicken be so mean! She literally bites me and pulls my skin, holds on tight with her beak like she wants to draw blood! The other one is just the opposite. I had read they're a very good beginner's breed or one for children to raise because of their sweet, gentle disposition! Hahaha!!! I've had chickens for five years now and have always had good luck with them in just about every way. I can't imagine why she acts like this!
