LOL !
Probably .. but we have such great roosters.. they cluck & lead the hens to food.. Chase them around to keep them in their "groups"..
They each take 'their ' hens around the yard.. Protecting them all day long.. They hide them under trees or in the coop if a hawk flies over head. At night when the they all head in.. if ONE hen is busy & not coming in .. one rooster will stay out with her until she is ready.. or he chases her in when he's had enough :-)

Now if it was the other rooster we had I would agree. we culled him !
but these two roosters are priceless.. so gentle.. Not one hen is tore up from the roosters.. :-)

LOL, that's wonderful! My roosters are pretty good natured, but I have so many right now that I had to set up a bachelor pad. I did have one mean one and he went to another home with full warnings about his temperament

Good luck with the hens, hope it works out!

What's happening? Any improvements?

Sure hope so!

I dont think we have enough info here, really. Penguin stance can mean egg bound or internal laying with all sorts of crud built up in the abdomen, but usually, when their tail is down, they are feeling badly.

Ecoli is what causes salpingitis. Loose cloaca in an older hen (and this is common on older production type hens) will allow feces to be sucked back into the oviduct, causing an ecoli infection resulting in salpingitis.
