Does anyone have a saltwater pool pump or filter? I wanted to find out if they work before I buy one and I have some questions.
1. I heard they keep your pool cleaner and algae free. Is this true?

2. Is it more expensive to maintain than a normal pool filter?

3. Would I have to change the salt out or add more salt?

I think thats all. Thanks if anyone can help

Love ours! You do have to add salt after adding water to the pool, lots of rain, that kind of thing to keep it at a level where it will generate chlorine, but a 50 lb bag of salt is very reasonably priced compared to chlorine. You also do need to shock them sometimes.
It is absolutely cheaper to maintain a salt pool than a chlorine pool, but you still have to test the water to make sure everything is in balance.
I can assure you, you buy FAR fewer chemicals with a salt water pool than a chlorine pool.

That sounds great! Last year I spent way too much on my pool, and I used it maybe 2 times a week. I hate draining it and refilling.
