Salty treats bad?

My feathered mini dinosaurs really like tortillas chips crumbles... wife says Papa (turning 90yo next week, so old school) says too much salt can be bad for them.

Couldn't really confirm this on the web... any guidance or salt intake?

I little bit of salt is good for them, but too much is bad and can be poisonous. Just like with humans

Salt is not good for chickens, and in excess can be poisonous. Their kidneys can not process it. I would dump those taco crumbles in the trash.

all fairness, I've been treating them with those only once a week at best.. but as it's getting warmer here, already in the upper 80's, makes sense to cut down on sodium.
