My chicks are approx. four weeks old. They were the same size when I bought them but now one is quite a bit larger than the other.
Is it unusual for same age peachicks to be different in size? Could it be a difference in gender?
The two I am talking about are the two in front. The darker one is 1-2 weeks older than the other two.

A week or two can make a big difference, so yes it is normal.
Pretty babies by the way.

Game bird grower is fine, thats what I feed all 40+ birds I have. I don't think they look scrawney, but it is unusual to see birds of the same age of such different sizes, thats all.

The two in front look different colored could possibility of different color breed does that make a difference in the size? I am suppose to have a Java and he looks like your bigger fellow. I need to take some pictures and get expert advise. Anyway mine got really tall and lanky fast compared to IB's I had. These fellows feathers aren't growing in like the IB's either they seem more ruffled up., but they are getting green in neck feathers fast. They act completely healthy they aren't as passive as the IB's I have noted they get really riled up when I clean their little pen or try and hold them.

The shadows make them look different colored

. The older one is supposed to be a blue and right now he tends toward a grayer color. The two younger are blue/white splits and have more of rusty base color.

That is what has me so puzzled.

I watched them for a bit after I fed them this evening and the little one seems to be getting its fair share of food.
Just have to keep an eye on it and make sure it's not getting shoved out.

Males grow larger then hens and even though they might look the same size, one could be a few days older. Just be sure that the food dish is always full so all can get all they need. Why not feed them medicated? It helps build immune system. The picture is a bit small for me to see LOL larger one would be better. The small one looks like it has white flights but not sure. Try posting pictures of each bird and we can tell you.
