Same breed but different combs?

How is it that both of my buff orphington hens have different combs? They are both the same age and both are egg layers.

Normal variation within individuals. One is just a bit more mature than the other.

Those are both single combs, one is just more developed than the other

My 2 Buff Orpingtons have completely different combs. Gemma has a small comb & Harriet has a bold comb. It makes it very convenient in telling them apart.
