Yup I figured that out earlier this year, with Hiro my Silkie/Phoenix X out of Silkie egg, fathered by a Phoenix ....I'm sure I've posted his pic a million times, but here he is again. Have two more of that cross as well, except their out of Phoenix eggs fathered by a Silkie. They all get the Silkie comb, feathered legs, extra toes and black skin. So far only Hiro is showing a crest, though.

Wow, he looks interesting. I still don't know much about breeds anyway, but I love the variety of colors in the feathers coming in.

I wish one of my roos was showy-colored ... I don't care much for my partridge rock bantams, but my little jap bantam roo is great, and he's decided he's alpha, so I guess I won't have any more roos. Too bad ...

Love the colors though.
