Same height roosts

Will they sleep perpendicular to the wall? If I actually use a ladder placed parallel to the wall, will they use the rungs as well? It would increase roost area without increasing sq ft.

2 foot 6 inch roost length, repeated many times along the back wall of the coop/house.

Nope, works great...and if you use a poop board it actually(kinda) increases space in the coop.
