One source I'm reading in re: incubation stresses the importance of hatching the same size eggs so that they'll all hatch together -- saying that small eggs will hatch sooner while larger eggs hatch later.

What is your experience with this?

I guess some of the really small eggs - I'm thinking Seramas - tend to hatch sooner, but I always used to incubate bantam and large fowl eggs together and never noticed any significant difference in incubation period/time. :idunno

I never experienced a difference in hatching time between large, or small eggs.

Although, I've had eggs in an incubator, & under broodies take upto 25 days to hatch before. Usually the eggs from my Orpingtons which I found interesting.
