Hell in in so cal and looking for lavender chickens of several breeds. Currently I have lavender orps and lavender ameraucanas, I need more pullets/hens of these. Also open to other lavender breeds if anyone has others. Age, location, pricing? Thanks!!!

Do we know when the next meet up is going to be? I am looking for Ameraucanas (Blue and Lavender) and I am hoping someone will have them there or have them now that is local to Poway or Riverside for pick up or some hatching eggs. If you know of anyone please send them my way. I would love to add them to my current mixed flock.

I hope everyone within 100 miles is going to attend the Pacific Coast Bantam Club annual winter show December 3 at the San Bernardino County Fairgrounds in Victorville. Over 700 pure bred exhibition large fowl bantams turkeys snd waterfowl from all over southern and central California BIG sale area too

I have a 4 month old pullet that seems to have broken her leg. Does anyone know of a solution that would be around $200. I called a vet near me and they said it would be $325+ for the diagnostics and then the treatment would be additional $. I'd love to help her, but can't go broke doing it. Let me know if any of you have had a similar issue that had a satisfactory results.

you might try a Large animal Vet. just for a splint and a way to immobilize it... if its a clean break easy but if ligaments are messed up better to amputate it. I had a one legged Guinea fowl due to a frinfrak Raccoon attack.

She survived and thrived for about a year then I lost her to an accident.

It is not uncommon for poultry to go down on their legs. If she is eating drinking I would isolate her. Electrolytes are also helpful in a week or two she quite possibly be up and around
