Sold a few hens today. I don't know why I feel like a traitor every time I sell a hen.

I wanted to hatch out some NN chicks but my hen just went broody on me . . . go figure

My issue with the ordinance is that it gives more power to people who like to make us chicken
fancier's lives miserable. It'll be one more law on the books to give a whiney, overreacting neighbor
a reason to turn you in. I find it hard to believe that some 39 year old cockfighter (that's the average
age) is going to join 4-H in order to appear to be on the up and up.

Rather than penalize us, why not make cockfighting a felony in this state? Oh...am I making sense

I have a friend who wants to get into chickens! They don't want chicks though, does anyone have any pullets or laying hens available? I am fresh out!

He doesn't care what kind, just wants them for eggs. It'll be a good home. Let me know, thanks!

I just found this thread. Is the meet up still tomorrow or is it being pushed off until September? If tomorrow not sure if I can make it but would love to make a future meeting. I'm in the El Cajon area.

Does anyone have fertilized duck eggs? My duck, Abby, won't stop laying because none of hers are fertile. She is losing weight and is special-needs so needs to stay on her feed. Although special-needs she really wants to be a mom and will have my help.

Do any 4H ers (or anyone else wanting to show/breed) out there need some SUPER nice white silkies (Catdance/Kelar stock) . Free to good homes. They would be probably boys but they are still tricky to sex so you could get a girl.

I know here is hot market for black skinned birds in San Diego, but these are too nice to eat

, if possible.

Also I have a lone splash 6 week BLRW who needs a home until whenever. Looks like it will have nice lacing. Again I think it is a boy but may not be. Free as well.
