Yes I've seen the babies for just a couple hundred... when I saw that I thought it was EXTREMELY overpriced.

Emu chicks are the CUTEST!!

Here is a pic of one that was brought to the Serama show last June

Sooooooo adorable!!!

Hopefully my friends emus will keep on laying... She said she will let me know every week what they have laid - apparently the bird has been laying since January.... She says her birds are male and female - thats what the breeder told her, but no blood test... Hummmm I am thinking of buying an egg just to crack it to check fertility. Supposedly the hens don't lay usually if there is no male, but not sure how reliable that info is. I don't want to end up too deep into this emu fiasco without knowing if the eggs are fertile or not. Last year they gave me peacocks and I never hatched a single one out of 24+ eggs. My friend gave me 4 eggs to try incubating, I am supposed to give her 50% of anything that hatches. Have the same deal for each week, but may be able to get her to sell some.

Anyone interested in any black, blue or splash LF Naked Necks COCKERELS? I'm going to be putting them on CL soon, or may take them up to Norco. They're from Nava in Florida and 5 weeks old today. PM me if you're interested.
