I might have a broody silkie, not sure yet, she only had been in the nest for one day. I did not plan on it so all my chickens are mix together so I don't have any pure breed eggs. Anyone has 6-8 regular size pure breed hatching eggs?

I just checked the 10 day weather forecast & it says....63 degrees & SUNNY in Ramona on the 22nd~!

I am not sure yet, this morning she was out but I had to leave, I will check again tonight to see if she is still in the nest.

Just out of curiosity, what were your hatching rates?

I am very excited to meet everyone!!! i have kinda been having disaster with my incubater/brooder and power outages!!! not fun. I hope that the park is going to be big enough for everyone.>>> I definetly will bring chairs, What time does this CRAZYNESS start, really what time are we suppposed to gather!!! My fiance got the weekend off thinking we were going to spend time together. I am thinking Great someone to help me carry stuff!!! Like i said before i am bring a friends seramas that are not what he is wanting in his brood pen, i think i will have at least 30 looking for homes... He gave me a roo not to long ago that follows me out to my horse arena and hangs with me while i ride, funny little bird!! Ok well see everyone there.

A BYCer has chicken saddles for $3 each. They look like nice ones too. Also has diapers, aprons and more. I may have to buy duck duck a new diaper!

Hey everyone I processed two cornish cockerels today and my biggest one gave me a FOUR POUND BREAST!!!! They are only 12 weeks old!!!
