That's an awesome story.
I bought silkie eggs from Cat-dance and they were wrapped really well, while i was taking one out of the bubble wrap it slippedand hit the counter just right to get a couple of hairline crack.
I used Crazy glue on the egg and still put it in the hatchery. When I candled the eggs, the cracked egg was fertile and growing right along with a few of the others
. It should hatch
next Thursday.
Crazy glue is amazing stuff. I learned about it here i think last year. Thank goodness for all the
wisdom posted on BYC. I love the name humpty dumpty, i need a good name like that for my cracked egg when it hatches....![]()
How awesome is that!?I have a buff barred bantam cochin hatched today his name its Humpty Dumpty because 3 days ago i dropped the egg when candling and it hit the chair and the carpet. The shell was basically shattered and pieces were missing but i put white glue on as much of it as i could with out moving it around too much and stuck it in the Hatcher, when i looked in there today there was this tiny chick sitting on top of its shelli can't believe it made it . Cute as heck and very lively![]()
