I was thinking of raising them on mostly clover forage. I agree, the month of forcefeeding is not appealing to me either, i'd prefer to let them have their chickeny lives until their bad day too.

Oh man those are pretty! But green fire farms is just way too expensive for me :( maybe if they even sexed the chicks I'd be more willing to put out the cash :rolleyes: oh well...

It does appear that 2013 will be a good year for chickens. Yet another chicken on the want list...

Ah but the deal is once they are out to a few breeders the next year they will be reasonable to us back yard Joes. Sigh.... I like those double laced Barnevelders too
