I got mine at Double S feed in Blossom Valley.... El Cajon. But the first time I got them was at East County feed in Santee. Call your feed stores and find out if they carry them.... if they dont then ask them if they can get them. I believe the brand is Mallard Creek. The bale is six cubic feet.Deb, where do you get rice hulls? I'd love to get some.
I love them because they dont compact like shavings do. Yet they still compost. The chickens love them.... I left a partially open bale inside the coop on Thursday and they took it upon themselves to "srpead the love" around.... I had only put them in the nesting area by today the whole bottom of the coop has rice hulls.
