San Diego Chicken meetup and Chat thread

I wonder if they'll ever open one in San Diego County. And I wonder how I can strap on some cattle panels on my rav 4.... Maybe put them on the top?

They are sixteen feet long by 50 inches tall. I am considering renting a trailer. If I had a rack on my truck I could haul them... I am afraid your Rav isnt long enough. But if you have a trailer hitch you could haul them with a light weight boat trailer with little more than a couple of boards layed across it for support.

I probably should either get a pipe rack for the truck or a 16 foot trailer. With either one I can haul 16 foot pipe corral panels. Or 12 footers. I have some additions to Katees paddock I want to do.... And it would take three 16 footers to do it.

sigh.... it never ends...... thank goodness.

Me banging on the door.... Open Open Open..... Cattle panels at the feed store are 45 bucks.... At TSC they are 29 I am only containing goats and chickens not anything bigger. I found the proposal for Ramona... Its going to be a while.... But still YAY.

They've broken ground on the Ramona TS store and have started construction. I don't know when they plan on it's grand opening, but perhaps in time for the June 7th San Diego Meetup .

Starting my morning with some @chef glenn coffee and the last of my mixed berry jalapeño jam from Red Gate Farm (Renee). I am bummed that the next meet ups scheduled are on days that I can't go these homemade goodies are the icing on the cake!

Its a cold but sunny morning here after last nights downpour..... off to see what got drenched or knocked over.

Excited to pick up my Polish babies today! Hatched from my hostess gift from Cindy in Julian

I am also so enjoying the coffee!! Glad to hear the Polish are hatching

Would love to see pictures. Somebody sent us pictures of Polish that hatched from our eggs a few weeks ago. There were some wonderful colors in there! How is Houdan? Kids are still talking about your chicken party and love the Seramas they got there!

I have to admit...I've been hanging out a lot on the Hatch-A-Long thread! Lots of eggs incubating right now

For TJChickens

Offgridmama's Polish Crested are mixed in. Three are obvious with their cute lighter hairdo. There were 5 out of the 7 eggs that hatched, one was infertile.The center back light yellow one and the right front corner black are also Polish Crested from Offgridmama.

The rest are 3 BO, our own eggs, 3 Ameraucana and EE. The later 2, I won from the raffle at the meet up. Nice memory.
