Whoop!!!

I have a new layer this morning!! I just went and checked the hens again, and in my pullet coop, there is an egg!! I think it was my SLW, as she's been doing a lot of egg squatting lately. One more pullet to go, my BO, then I'll have all 8 females laying!!

Cara - yes I would like to ride with you if that's ok. Also, are you planning to go to the Ventura show on the 9th? I was thinking about it.


I've got some stuff for sale if anyone is interested or knows anyone who might be...

Some fancy pigeons, orange ringneck doves, oegb chicks silver laced or spangled. $10. Can trade for bobwhite or gambel quail.
I also have San Diego Zoo Red Jungle Fowl chicks $20. Can trade for golden or amherst pheasant.

THAT was a big surprise to me! I wasn't expecting Silkies to pop out of the blue-green eggs!!!

So how many SilkEEs will I have Cari? They are all black, I thought they would be Splash, I have seen the Splash rooster does his thing more often. Maybe only the black Silkie rooster likes the EE's.

YAY! I am so happy for you.

I have 3 young pullets laying for sure. Twenty something more to go.

I am so excited because my Texas A&E that I thought was a male laid an egg yesterday.

And another today. I sat there and fed her mealworms. She LOVED them. Oh Boy!
