We got 6 ameraucana eggs from 6 ameraucanas today!!!!!!

I am REALLY impressed at how those girls churn out eggs especially with all the talk last year about how the wheaties were poor layers. The one that a started about 2 weeks ago (her egg color is a bit different) has laid virtually without a break since day 1 and the eggs size is almost the same as the rest!

Other stuff......
Do any of you have a LARGE or X_LARGE indoor type rabbit cage for sale? I am looking for a couple.
The ones with a plastic bottom with sides that go up a few inches and have a metal wire top (usually white).

If so could you pm me with a price. May also be able to swap if you like (chicks, first-borns etc - well not first-borns but sheesh when they hit 16........... I do have nice blue wheaten ameraucana eggs in the bator, + olive eggers and goose eggs etc) Thanks!!!

Finally, very interested in carpooling to Norco if we are getting a group together.

Hi Cari,
Could you save me 4 spots on the MM order. I'll figure it out later....after SURVIVOR!

Will do!

My Am girls have been spotty since the meet-up; it's like they got shy and decided to wait a while. Today I went out to collect eggs, and there were a bunch all in the same nest box: 2 EE greens, 1 very dark FBC Marans brown, 1 white Blue Andy and one beautiful, unblemished and very blue Am egg... it stood out like a sore thumb! Just beautiful.

I think my very colorful eggs make my "donors" happy, too... I also try to package them nicely in clear containers with cute labels. I do end up giving quite a few away as gifts, too, and people always appreciate them. For Christmas this year I made my own bottles of vanilla and packaged them with a great jarred recipe for "Cookies For Two". (Of course I included a six-pack of eggs, too. All that was needed was butter!)

I have a 50 of DE coming, but even with three coops, that's obviously more than I need for a bit. If anyone would like to buy a few 5 or 10-pound lots, I would be happy to split the bag a little (I'd keep 25, the rest would be fine).
