Miriam hatched out Icelandics for me. Thanks Miriam! They are beautiful.

I cannot get down to SD this week. I pulled my back lifting chicken feed. If you are picking up feed from Cari and can pick up the chicks for a ride to Cari's I would be so grateful. Cari has agreed to take care of them until I come down. Please let me know.

Most of you don't know who I am as I don't post often & I just can't seem to organize myself far enough in advance to join you on one of your meet-ups.

HOWEVER, FWIW I bought a trio of the Cotton Patch from Heather. I have never raised Ducks or Geese. OMG what an experience~! I'm a "forever" chicken girl, BUT I have just earned my "GOOSE LADY" badge. I have never experienced any animal as sweet as these babies. I'm so in love

that they are residing in my breakfast room so I can keep them company

Whenever they see or hear me, they come running to the edge of the cage. They are getting so big I know in the next day or two I will have to move them elsewhere & I will be so sad.

If you ever "thought" you might like gesse or need geese, these are the ticket. I can't say enough about them & also Heather for holding my hand through the first 24 hrs as I didn't have a clue that they were " a smidge different" than chickens. Go for it~! You won't be sorry.

Lynne, I was just thinking about you and EmpireRanch today! Welcome back!

I just unpacked the Ramona feed order, and there's one small problem... Renee L. and I ordered soy-free layer crumbles, and they sent us soy-free layer pellets. (I've already asked her what she'd like to do about it.) Everybody else's order is a-okay, and ready for pickup. Please note: I DO NOT mind storing feed for you! If you can't get here until next week, it's really no problem; just let me know. But (and it's a big but) since I am sick, unloading all this food has pretty much sapped my strength, and I am all out of muscles. If you're picking up today/tonight/tomorrow, can you please bring a man or eat your Wheaties? I'm not sure how useful I'm going to be.

I did look up the Auburn Java as posted by the folks who sold the eggs. Refresh my memory about sexing. I know they are quite different colors as adults but can you tell the sex at birth ?

Is anyone interested in Aburn Java chicks??? I had 10 hatch!!!!!
WISH I could keep some..... sigh

The chicks are a dark rust-chipmunk. Need to get pics.

These chicks are spectacular!!! a real rainbow of colors!!! Bit like the SFHs which is not surprising really.

Modesto doesn't and hasn't ever made soy free crumbles, the soy free ONLY comes in pellets.

Please pray for stephen tonight.
we went on a walk this evening and he was on his scooter.went down a hill and fell onto his arm.
im almost posative it is broken.he is in great pain to even touch it to exam it.
big bruse and swelling up fast

he needs prayer for his pain and comfort,he was so scared and left in full tears with steve to urgant care.

I know you chciken people are also children lovers and our little man needs all the comfort of your prayers he can get.
