sand floor

I have read a lot about sand vs shavings for coop floors and that is what I have but I put the sand directly down on top of the plywood that was in my coop. will this be OK, I can't imagine it hurting g the chickens but I don't know hoe it will hold up now. it seems fine but I've only had chickens for a month orso....

I've been using pine shavings in my coop but thinking of going with sand when it cleaned out next time. Seems like it would be easier just like sifting kitty litter.

I got sand in my coop on concrete floor. I did put straw on top for winter but will be taking it back out during warm weather. Love it.
