Sand in brooder

I use pine shavings and then give them a little pan of sand to bathe in I just get my Sand out of the stream and let it dry it has tiny little stones and nice sand mixed wih real fine pieces of leaves they love it

sand is not working for me I have eleven 3 week old cream leg bars in the sand. One of them must have ate to much and clogged it's butt up. Hopefully that one was just stupid and the rest will be ok ? don't have them in sand any more I got a couple big clumps of sand out of the chick but it don't look so good. Maybe it will make it

Anyone else have a problem with the sand being dusty?

My brooder is so dusty the chicks have sand dust all over them. You can blow on the chicks and a cloud of dust comes off of them..lol

Anyone use this sand?

Here's a picture when I first put them in. No dust yet on them.
