This what I use (see links below.) The dust pan is hard plastic. I drill a hole through the base of the dust pan where it connects with the base of the handle and install a screw to prevent the dust pan from collapsing under the weight of the sand and poop, works great.When using sand in your coops, what is your favorite tool to get the job done? I was looking at the: Long Handle Metal Cat Litter Scoop, for the main floor area. Any and all information is appreciated!

I use the broom to sweep the poop into the dust pan, then dump it in a 5 gallon bucket. Each pen has it's own bucket and broom/dust pan.
However, they were much cheaper a couple years ago than today

When I clean out the coops, I use a regular whisk broom with dust pan. I use a small garden hand shovel to remove wet feces and cecal poop.
