When using sand in your coops, what is your favorite tool to get the job done? I was looking at the: Long Handle Metal Cat Litter Scoop, for the main floor area. Any and all information is appreciated!

This what I use (see links below.) The dust pan is hard plastic. I drill a hole through the base of the dust pan where it connects with the base of the handle and install a screw to prevent the dust pan from collapsing under the weight of the sand and poop, works great.
I use the broom to sweep the poop into the dust pan, then dump it in a 5 gallon bucket. Each pen has it's own bucket and broom/dust pan.
However, they were much cheaper a couple years ago than today

When I clean out the coops, I use a regular whisk broom with dust pan. I use a small garden hand shovel to remove wet feces and cecal poop.

Thanks for the info, I like the lobby broom idea.
