Santa Cruz County Fair 9/15 - 9/20, 2009

The Santa Cruz County fair was a lot of fun. Chicken friends, chicken kabobs, chicken art and live chickens!!! Cutest chicken at the fair was the Black Cochin Frizzle!

Giant pumpkins? Too much work.

I just ordered my garlic seed from www.filareefarm.com, so that I can "crush" the garlic competition next year. I am growing Chesnok Red, Romanian Red, Nootka Rose, Brown Tempest and Thai Purple. 4.5 lbs of seed garlic will be arriving in two weeks.

I'm a little slow, but the garlic fries are starting to make more sense now.
