My husband just brought home 6 Sapphire Gem chicks - per online you can tell their breed by a spot on their head? I’m new to this. Would this be a rooster?

Story of my life It will be fine we will trade them at our local market if need be. We’ve got 16 other chicks - Pullets (Cali Tan) and straight run (RIR) we know we have some hens I was just hoping for some of those to be hens I’ll have to post one I’m curious about it’s hard to tell if there is a spot or not due to the coloration I’ll add that photo tomorrow.

My husband came home with chicks a few months ago. Same breed as yours and we have 2 males. If anyone is in the north Mississippi area, I will sell them cheap. They are pretty and forage well. just don't need more roosters.

They turned out female but dogs killed them and one never returned after the attack only 1 of those 6 chicks is alive still…..
