Congratulations! Personally, I've never been very fond of those Hindenburg shaped eggs. I used to get them sometimes but thinking about it now, I haven't seen one for awhile. I lost a hen recently, there is probably a correlation. It will be interesting to note if the shape has anything to do with being a first, or if it carries on for the life of the hen.Here is my sapphire gems first egg! But my RIR's, Blue Laced Red Wyandottes, and Easter Eggers are 18.5 weeks and still haven't laid I gave them a pep talk this morning!!!
