Sapphire Gem or punk rocker?

Let the ladies out this morning and this caught my eye on the floor of the coop. It’s so tiny! The egg on the left is from my Black tailed Japanese bantam. I’m so eggcited!!

GREAT name!!!! I love the Ramones reference. I try to name my chickens with obscure references too. I posted my EE Betty in the molt thread. She's normally a golden color, and since she's one of the golden girls I named her for Betty White. I should do a thread about how people come up with their chicken names LOL....

Thanks and same! I have Thelma & Louise who were named that because they came as a pair and when we brought them in Louise was taken advantage of by our rooster... My Silkie is Ella because she is a splash and looks like Cruella. I have a White Rock named Karen because she’s a basic white chicken..LOL and many more :)

That is a great idea. I've got buff orps and because they are best known to be brit royalty favorites I give them proper English names like Daphne and Prunella (and Daisy and Matilda) just like the queen mum, LOL. I'll probably have a 'Pippa' at some point.

OP, Sheena is adorable!

I remember someone asked if I would post a photo of her eggs once she started laying. She began laying consistently on Monday and has laid every day since. Attached is a photo of her eggs. They are a light olive green.

Name wise, my OE is Olivia, the Sapphire gem is Sapphire, of course. I have a BLRW named "Splendor", a BA named "Calipso", a LO named "CasiLOpia" and a LO rooster named "Caspian."
