Sapphire Gem Rooster?

SGs are sexlinked and can be sexable at hatch, BUT I do understand that blue birds are harder to sex at hatch via the head spot method. Would be a good idea to choose SGs that are darkest, without any head spots or too much white. Sometimes hatcheries and local store workers do make mistakes.

Had I been more assertive.. I did ask specifically for all the very dark headed chicks, but the employee seemed new to grabbing them and I didn't want to make her feel worse than she already did lol Chicks were hopping out of her hand into other bins.

I will know better for next time. I had looked at some online breeders but I couldn't order 20+ chicks, I just want to keep a small backyard flock. That way I know they are well taken care of and I do not overwhelm myself. thank you for the valuable information.

Love them! Sorry 2 turned out to be roos.
I managed to only find one SG and I just love her. I would be devastated if she turned out to be a roo.

How many chickens are you hoping to have? Ideal will ship 6-7 with only a $7 small order fee. Min is $30 order which usually ends up about that many. That’s the cheapest small order I’ve seen from an online hatchery.

I hate to keep asking but someone yesterday thought my cockerel was a Jubilee? And my others are not sapphire gems I just don’t know what in the bejeebers I have……
I thought I had golden comet

The Golden comet and Isa brown might be right??? I don’t know at this point what I have. I’m sorry for being a pain but I’m so frustrated and aggravated with tsc not to mention disappointed. I feel like calling tsc and giving them a piece of my mind but it wouldn’t do any good.
Can anyone tell me after taking a look at the pics I posted if I have anything I was supposed to have and what you think they are. I love my cockeral I believe he is going to be a handsome rooster, this is the one that a couple people thought was a Jubilee. I have 6 that are 16 days old that are EE’s I got from another place and I’m pretty sure they they are correct.
Can someone pleas help me? Thanks everyone for your patience and expertise.

Def no SGs, maybe ISA, but the feather look rather dark and patterned. What do they look like now? It's been 5 more weeks.
