Hi my little sapphire olive egger is 12 weeks old. It came sexed and for the longest time I was sure it was a pullet till this week when its comb got really red. Thoughts? It doesn’t fight with the other too chicks and I don’t see any pointy saddle feathers but it’s a bit early. Is it possible that the comb and waddles indicate more that it may lay in a few weeks as early as that sounds?

It looks like a female to me. Breeds like that which will have large floppy combs when they are full-grown will get larger and redder combs and wattles earlier compared to different breed chicks of the same age in my experience 🙂
For instance, this chick that turned out to be a hen looked like this when she was only 2 weeks old. Her comb is giant and floppy now😆
