Are you sure that she isn't trying to brood?
My hens do that to themselves when they want to sit on eggs. Some of mine are a lot more subtle than others, so they don't scream at me when I take them off the nest.
It does sound like separating her was a good idea. Best of luck, you two!

Hello everyone, thank you for all your replies, please see attached a photo of poor Penelopes bald spot. She is no longer with the big girls she has Madeleine a millfluer pekin bantam for company. Any help/suggestions appreciated ❤

Omg, she's in bad shape overall. Hope someone can advise something to help with that situation your serama is going through.
