Saratoga County, NY

Hello, I am new to this web site and still trying to figure it all out. I am located in Corinth also. I am starting a new at the raising chicken thing. We have two chickens. One is definitely a rooster but the other one I am a little confused about. Not sure if it is a young male or a female. It is all white but with a small red beard. It does not crow as the rooster does. We are using pallets to build as their coop and I want an egg house off the side of it. If you can offer an assistance in knowledge I would truly appreciate it. Thank you.

i just joined today. and bought my chickens two weeks ago and i am from corinth as well. i also just moved here in february so i'm glad i'm not breaking any laws by owning chickens.

Oh hey.....does anyone know anyone or of anyone who'd have a Baby Roo?? I had to send my Noodle Roo away to Silkie Camp for King Foo Fighting me one too many times and I'd Love to work a new Lil Roo into my small flock.
Thanks in advance for any help~

Are you looking for a Silkie Roo? I am growing out some babies (around 12 weeks now) and the two whites I have look like roos. One is crowing for sure, but they look identical in their development (combs etc) so I'm waiting to see if the other is a pullet or not. If it turns out to be a pullet, I'll be keeping them as a pair; if it turns out to be a roo, then I may sell it. (I don't need two white roos right now) If you can wait till I know for sure, I'll give you first dibs.

Thank you for the offer, I'd rather not have any more Silkies at this point. I only have two Silkie hens and they seem to get all the attention. Haaaaa

Donna get a big Roo.

I'm tryyyyying!!! If ya know anyone who's hatching and is willing to part with a Bitty Roo....pretty much any breed besides Silkies, pleeeeeze send em my way. I wanna incorporate the youngest Roo I can find in with my existing Chix!?!?!
