Hi I have 1turkey in with my chickens and I gathered my eggs this morning and found a white egg. I have black jersys roadislands and americans the only white egg has to be from the turkey but I thought it was to early. I got her as a new hatch on March 31.

! Pleased you joined us! Although it does seem early for the turkey to start laying, the breeds you described are not white egg layers so it stands to reason the white egg must be from the turkey. Congratulations!

Welcome to Backyard Chickens! The breeds you mentioned are all blue or brown egg layers, so early though it may be, I guess it is the turkey. You must have a healthy turkey on your hands! Thank you for all of the information. This is the first time for raising a turkey I have had chickens before until the coyote s wiped us out. Now we have a pair of donkeys to protect them. This has been working fine.
