Her mom is a satin and pretty sure I was told the dad is a silkie. She's 5 weeks old today. Any ideas if she is a she or a he. I wish I was more patient

I agree with muddy, also, I don’t know how else to describe it but silkie Roos tend to have a more “tough” or severe look to their eyes. They’re not as round and sweet.

I have actually heard that before. That the girls almost have puppy dog looking eyes more rounded and the boys have a flater top of the lid. Not sure if that's true lol.

Hi there.
What did your chick end up? I have one that looks almost the same! They are 5 weeks old today!
She is about to be 17 weeks old and still very much hen looking. No crowing yet and my silkie roo has started crowing as of 2 days ago. This picture was taken about 3 or 4 weeks ago. I'll get a better picture of her tomorrow.
