Last I talked with her, Toni-Marie was importing some Sats about 2 years ago.

If you are going to try and make one you need some thing that will make the tail more horiz than vertical.

I would suggest using a Chine Game.

I looked at her website after I was told that a pair of hens I now have are decendents of her 2002 import! did not see any satsumadoris on there...

That yokohama looking bird looks awesome. Breed him to one of the buff pullets the eggs you got last year came from 2 different pens, maybe by putting those 2 together will produce something a little bigger than him, I have been trying different things to acheive this I am now putting some Spanish over Cubalaya cocks to see what that outcome is. Also a half shamo x cubalaya cock over my buff pullet. Like I said I am trying everything till I get it right, also want to get them gamey.

Yes, I think I will use him over the best pullets from this years chicks from the other. BTW, these hens are excellent mothers.

ETA: I will be selecting for lower fanned tails in the females. I may end up keeping one male out of the bunch. We'll see how they turn out.
