Sauve or tar to seal wound?

Meat birds small scratches now longer gash from pecking. Is there a sauve/tarish I can put on to seal.

You don't want to seal wounds. That makes them perfect for the anaerobic bacteria to thrive. You want to remove the bird to keep them from canabalizing him just til healed. Then use neosporin ointment. He'll heal fast. You could alternately use a little blue-cote but it won't come off and personally I think it makes the area different enough to where they want to peck it anyway. So I'd go a couple of days out of the pen with neosporin.
