I did. I'm afraid they fell into a storm drain that was very close to where he was. I walked over, and called "kitty kitty" down into it while trying not to get run over, but I didn't hear any mews. He often looks around, and the first night here he slept on a pile of towels up against the mirror. He still tries to play with himself on the mirror, and can't stand to be left alone. I'm afraid there were other kittens... but it's a two hour drive, and no sense in going when I don't even know where I found Loki.
Thanks guys. Here's an update. I think I might turn it into a running thing - updates would be easy since he loves to get into things
Loki is settling in well. Chester doesn't like him yet. He slept on top of Muffin for a bit last night and is figuring out that she wants to "mother" him, and feels comfortable sleeping with her now. He rubs on her a lot. We are slowly but surely getting all of the rocks out from between his feet. Dad is a heavy equipment worker and seems to think it was fresh blacktop from the roads! Poor baby. They're almost all gone. I think I'll be giving him a flea bath tomorrow.
He is so sweet - and NOSEY. Good thing we named him Loki! He loves to cuddle and sleep with us. That's what he's done today, helping mom after her Heart Cath yesterday. But, he also loves to play! He plays and plays for hours, then just crashes out. Here he is, about to take a cat nap on the "cat pad" - the top of the couch
. He's sound asleep now
