Oh my God. Can you imagine how lucky she is? It makes me want to squeeze you. That poor girl.

I have read a few times here about "broiler" chickens and how they grow too fast. A lot of her issues may just be poor breeding. I have looked at vitamins for my chickens before and they are all garbage. Are there any good brands? Im sure just sunlight and good food are going to make a world of difference!

She looks real good for a commercial chicken. By six weeks alot of the floor raised commercial birds have burned their feathers off their chests and can even have blisters on their chests and feet from the ammonia soaked bedding. Watch her diet and good luck with her.

I would not give her food for broilers because the food is ment to make them really big, I would feed her normal layer pellets or crumbles once she is older and avoid anything else.

She had no feathers on her chest when we got her she now has some coming in

When I rescued a chicken that fell off one of the trucks here (I called her Lucy) She had runny poo for a while too. I asked around and internet searched. Seems that they feed them something that will make them want to drink more to build up fluid in the body. Adds weight and makes the meat retain water so that the end product is moist.
Does yours have baby blue eyes? Lucy did until she got a little older. When she started to lay she ran into big problems, (prolapse twice) and at 6 months she had heart failure. But at least she had that many more months of good living, unlike the first 45 days of her life.

No not blue eyes and I herd that they call it the??? 500 breed used by Tyson.

Well my advice is she has coccidiosis and needs some
amproylium in wet mash
1/4 cup of dry crumbles
1/2 cup of water into which you put 1/2 tsp of amproylium powser
mix well and feed 2 tsp per chick
if you want only make 1/2 recipe and feed
the chick will bre okay with the amproylium feed you are giving them

If any was left over then put in frig and use rest the next day
I always used this along with the amproylium in the water

So as this bird was around the other chickens it is with you may want to medicate all of them
the amproylium is to be put in the water for 7 days

As every place has different coccidiosis germs than the chicken is used to
My web site has a lot of the answers
