So I got sawdust from work that has a combination of Pine, Maple, Oak , and Minor amount of Regular cedar nothing aromatic...I put it in on Sunday(Into my front run for absorbing wet mud!) and In my coop...Today found a Dead barny Hen in a nest box....Is it possible she was egg bound? or Could it be them eating to much shavings..?? I thought some woods only irritated the respitory system but they were outside all day and its not smelly...wood yes but not like a certain type...?

It was probably a coincidence. In well ventilated areas, even cedar is ok, but inside, avoid anything aromatic. The issue with cedar, and potentially really fine sawdust is the irritation that can cause susceptibility to respiratory issues in the long term with birds. But sounds like you knew that already. Just make sure the sawdust isn't heavy in bar oils if from chain saws, or other extras that could contaminate the soil the birds will end up eating from.

Guess I don't have much to add.

Hey thanks makes me feel a bit more assured the Sawdust may not have been the culprit but i'll play the waiting game...see how everyone is in the next few days!

Putting organic material in mud just makes more mud.
Sand would work much better
