My son started raising ducks last year for 4H. We are still learning about them we raise rabbits. This year is her first time laying. she started laying a few weeks ago and has probably laid 15-20 eggs. We were taking them but she built a nest last week so we have left them with her. Is there a chance that she will actually incubate them herself. also the last 3 days she has laid soft shell eggs but not in the nest. we have added oyster shells is there anything else to do?

If she built a nest, I'd let her try. They can hatch out their own.
BUT, you are required by BYC law to post pictures of the ducklings

Yes, when you leave eggs with the ducks and they build a nest, they will most likely set them, I have 2 Buff Ducks that set all the time, I have one that has duckings hatching as I type. This is I think her third clutch and she is a year old, or she will be in April. When she first started, I didn't even think she was old enough to be laying yet and then I found her on a nest. And I have one of her daughters from her last clutch with the same story, I didn't even think she was laying yet and she just started setting yesterday. But mine all free range all the time and I know where their 3 or 4 favorite places for setting are. If their not intending on setting, they will just lay randomly all over the yard, so if your's has built a little nest with her feathers and all in it, she is most likely planning on setting.
