I ordered 8 chicks from MPC several months ago and they *finally* arrived about 5 weeks ago.
I ordered 3 easter eggers, 3 silver laced wyandottes, and 2 australorps.

They all are my best buddies and hop onto my arm and shoulders when ever I open the brooder up. They love to sit in my lap and watch tv or rock in the rocking chairs on the front porch. Effectively, they're all just the sweetest things.

But I'm thinking my Lucille is a Lucian.
5 week old australorp. The pics are from this past weekend, so s/he is about half a week older.

This is the only one with ANY major comb development. I'll see if I can get a pic of his/her sister. And Lucy's comb has gotten bigger and redder.

Thanks in advance!

It's a good thing he's so sweet and cute then!!!

We're on two acres and we're on a corner property. So we only have 3 other neighbors to worry about. Will Lucy's crows be loud enough to cause neighbors to complain?

We have 7 other hens to lay so we have no worries about our bribing capabilities!

well, there is only going to be one way to find out. wait and see!

the good news is that the bigger the breed, the deeper the voice and less syllables. so it wont be a high pitched squeaky crow.
