I sent Valentines to the folks who took my two roosters with instructions as to how one can tame roosters if they start to get mean.
I am haunted by the father saying that they'd had a Java rooster that had suddenly turned mean, and that he would not have mean animals on his farm.
I sure hope my boys didn't turn mean, because, if they did, I'll bet that dad would kill them. I liked the young son who had called about the roosters, but I wasn't nearly as impressed with his father, whom I didn't get to meet or talk to until I took the roosters to their farm.
They did not respond to my Valentines or call or e-mail, so I am worried, but there is nothing I can do about it.
I did ask for visiting privileges, and the father said I could stop by and see the roosters if I called first, so I am tempted to do that, but I am so afraid of what I may learn... If they got killed by predators or were eaten, I will feel terribly guilty for having given them away. Is it better not to know? If they are fine, I'll feel relieved. I'm torn as to whether to try to see them or not.
