Saying goodbye to the best rooster ever.

@Keltara Thank you. I think I will be able to visit him which is great. I'm probably very lucky for that. And I now the people very well so that's good too.

I am feeling exactly like you do right now

I had to give away a rooster that I really loved to a friend of mine, and yesterday she called me and said that she was probably going to kill it

I begged my dad to let us take him but he said no, I even cried but he still said we couldn't have him.

I sent Valentines to the folks who took my two roosters with instructions as to how one can tame roosters if they start to get mean.

I am haunted by the father saying that they'd had a Java rooster that had suddenly turned mean, and that he would not have mean animals on his farm.

I sure hope my boys didn't turn mean, because, if they did, I'll bet that dad would kill them. I liked the young son who had called about the roosters, but I wasn't nearly as impressed with his father, whom I didn't get to meet or talk to until I took the roosters to their farm.

They did not respond to my Valentines or call or e-mail, so I am worried, but there is nothing I can do about it.

I did ask for visiting privileges, and the father said I could stop by and see the roosters if I called first, so I am tempted to do that, but I am so afraid of what I may learn... If they got killed by predators or were eaten, I will feel terribly guilty for having given them away. Is it better not to know? If they are fine, I'll feel relieved. I'm torn as to whether to try to see them or not.

I feel so bad for you.... but to look on the bright side, at least you did not have to get rid of him the "other way" if you know what I mean....
I know how you feel. I had to give up some roosters too. It's not fair that nobody wants them because they don't give eggs! I mean, they can be great companions! Poor roosters.

Thanks :) I know the people who have him and there good people. When I took him to the and set him in there yard he ran strait to a hen then he saw another rooster and made a bee line to him. Then they started fighting and jet was kicking this huge roosters butt lol but then he gave up and ran off lol. He can free range all he wants there. And the people have about 200 acres so yay.
