Saying hello

Wanted to pop on and say hey. We are new at backyard chicken keeping and are quite excited about it. I've started a local group in our small town that we are hoping to grow. We will be a great resource on urban gardening, healthy eating, and more sustainable living. I know I will learn a lot here about chickens and hope to share information and stories as well. This looks like a terrific place to be if you are raising chickens so, Hey all.

Our feathered crew includes: 2 Barred Rocks (2 wks old), 1 Buff Orpington (2 wks old), 1 Buff Brahma (2 wks old), 2 Australorps (1 1/2 wks old), 2 Pekin ducks (1 1/2 wks old), and 1 one legged Green Cheek Conure (3 yrs old).
