Hi fellow chicken tenders,
I volunteer at a community farm that's run by local neighborhood volunteers. I only joined a little over a year ago but have tried my best to learn from both here and youtube on chicken health and care. I've been caring for a chicken who has mild respiratory issues but she's doing very well so far. Other than the on and off mouth breathing and sneezing (no discharge, no bubbly eyes, no swelling in face), she's eating, drinking, pooping, scratching about, preening well. She had this last year too but this time it's much more mild. She's also in henopause years now.
One of my other concerns I just noticed yesterday was this scab on her foot. I've tried to look up multiple posts here on bumblefoot and the internet but it doesn't seem to look the same as what people have posted about. The scab is like a bit greyish? I was hoping to find out whether or not it was indeed bumblefoot or if it's just a scab and should it be removed? I do have access to PRID so would that be the best first course of action? I appreciate all of the insight!
