Serama chick, incubator hatched 03/28. Chick has this large hard black patch on its abdomen, and a smaller spot on the other side. Chick doesn't seem to be having any problem. I can't really tell if this is something adhered over the down, or is actually skin. So what is this, and should I be concerned?

It looks like possibly the navel (where they absorb the yolk sac) got infected and then formed this scab. I would clean it really well, but be careful as chick skin is very thin and it could be holding organs in under the lump/scab.
