Scabs on vent

Is a vet a possibility? I would think that needs to be scraped and analyzed.

I contacted the vet, waiting to hear back. I need him to prescribe the antibiotics. I’ll let you know how it goes.

She is on amoxicillin twice a day for 7 days now. I really hope this changes something.

We finished the antibiotics a week ago. There is no significant change to her vent. It does look a bit better, but there is still a small area with that scabbing ooze.
Because she is otherwise doing well, I will just let her be now. Hoping it will slowly go away with time.
I check her once a week, just to make sure her vent isn’t clogged.

Do you remove the scabbing and clean it well?

I don’t wash her anymore, as I found doing it or not doing it made no difference.
Whenever the scab is removed, it bleeds. (The vet made it bleed of course).
