is there other cause for raised scaley parts on the chickens leg other than leg mites ? Two of my 50 chickens have had a part of there feet have raised scales but I thought it wouldn’t be mites because all of the chickens would have it then because they all live together in the same coop where would a couple of them get it from but not the others

I don't know for sure, but I think some hens just show it more than others? I am pretty sure a few of mine have it, and assume they all do, but usually only treat the girls with a visible problem. Not sure if this is the best approach.

Although Scaly leg mites can and do spread, they do it very slowly so it's possible you have caught it in time to prevent the spread.

Can you post some photos of the legs/feet?

Scaly Leg Mites can migrate slowly from bird to bird. Not all bird in a flock may have them either, there's many factors involved. Overall healthy, age, condition and activity of the bird would be something to consider compared the other as well.
