Scaling up a Woods' coop design dimensions plan

I couldn't see where to edit the original post, I can see it looks like I have a shed and want to build a 12x16 coop in that shed. Sorry for the poor wording. I should have said I want to build a 12x16 shed, with a half monitor roof... meaning the north-side shed roof higher than the south-side shed roof and clerestory windows along the wall between the upper edge of each roof and all of that the full width east to west. Then, fence off a full-depth end of it inside for the coop space. Sorry for the confusion.

An observation, no insult implied. You are making lots of assumptions without factual basis.

Again, if you find a design that appeals to you and has the benefits you are looking for then build that without modifications.
No insult taken. Yes, that is what I'm doing. For various reasons, it is worth the risks (at least the ones I can see) to try (but lowering the risks is good. Smile.)

If it does, I'll build a storage closet across the back, effectively shortening the depth. Is that the mistake or am I still missing something?
The closet across the back was an attempt to fix the width/depth issue aart saw, or what I guessed was the issue.
If said closet is totally sealed off from coop and just utilizing the same roof, it could work.
Access to closet could be in back of closet so as not to effect the coop at all.
