I have had birds before who have been scalped before, and I usually just separate them and leave them alone (no treatment). But this happened to one of our really rare birds. I separated her so she was with her partner who is also scalped but not so bad. I read every one says Neosporin without the pain relief which the only stuff like that we have expired in ‘07. I applied some silver sulfadiazine on the injury but not on top where bone is showing. I’m worried about applying anything to the skull. Is it okay to?

Put her in a dark place by herself. You can use hydrogen peroxide to clean it for the first cleaning, but be careful of her eyes. (I use the spray bottle.) Then for further cleanings, you can make a Saline rinse and clean it in the morning and the evening every day until it starts healing. Again, keep her separated. Do you have any electrolytes? She should be treated for shock as well.
