Scaly leg mite or paranoia?

This is two different birds, but they all have what look to me like slightly raised scales on the bend. What do you folks think?

Dirt is pretty ingrained (I have a similar problem on my hands >_<' ), and the lighting isn't great. Sorry, sun's gone in and my phone isn't very good with indoor lighting. They do look rather raised to me, but difficult to compare to online photos of normal feet.

She did not appreciate being woken up and given a pedicure...

Cool. Suppose I could hit them up with the coconut oil for a couple of days, as suggested by @KikisGirls just in case. I've got plenty of it... it's just that it sounds like it wouldn't work, at least not once they've kicked around a bunch of dirt looking for grubs.
